How Casamigos Started
These long-time mates George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldam all love Tequila.
They drink it on the rocks, by the shot and even by the bottle once in a cheeky while. These tequila filled nights shared with friends created the birth of Casamigos.
The idea of Casamigos was to make a tequila that was the absolute best-tasting, smoothest Tequila and Mezcal that won't need salt or lime to cover up the taste.
These guys, managed to produce that.
Casamigos was originally created just for them. They worked and tweaked Casamigos with their master distiller in Jalisco, Mexico for years. It took many blind tastings until they got it right.
Casamigos was made just for these mates to be enjoyed with friends and family for many years. It was never meant to be released to the public. It is all George serves at his home in Mexico, so it really is their house tequila.

What Makes it Taste So Good?
Casamigos hand select their finest 100% Blue Weber agaves in the cool climate of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
Their agave pinas are roasted in traditional brick ovens. This is done for 72 hours compared to most other distillers who only steam theirs for 7 hours. So you know that Casamigos is getting the most out of their agave.
Casamigo's Master distiller uses a special yeast blend that results in a consistent, refined flavour. This blend is completely owned and created for Casamigos. No commercial yeast used here!
This unique Casamigos flavour is a result of an 80 hour fermentation process, compared to the average 48 hours of most places.
