Jameson goes beyond being just a whiskey; it is a testament to the rich heritage and centuries-old distilling techniques that have made Irish whiskey world-renowned. From the lush green fields of Ireland to the hands of expert distillers, Jameson embodies the artistry and passion that goes into creating a truly exceptional spirit.
With a history dating back to 1780, Jameson has stood the test of time, becoming a symbol of quality and craftsmanship. Each bottle is a carefully crafted blend of single pot still and fine grain whiskeys, resulting in a smooth and balanced flavour profile that is unmistakably Jameson.
What sets Jameson apart?
- Their triple distillation process. It's the method that Jameson Irish Whiskey has built its reputation on and the legacy they the current head distiller upholds to this day.
- Locally grown ingredients. The barley is all grown locally in Ireland and the water comes from the Dungourney river that flows right through the distillery. But with maize being a sun-loving crop, Jamesons sources from a farmer in South France to provide their non-genetically modified crop.
- Oak aged. Jameson's friends in the United States and Spain to provide Jameson casks. Their previous life ageing bourbon and fortified wine, leaves them seasoned and ready to pass some of their toasted wood, vanilla and sweet sherry personality along to Jameson whiskey.
- Timeless. A pretty stringent law that states that a spirit must spend a minimum of three years maturing on the island of Ireland to be lucky enough to be able to call itself Irish.
- Grain to glass. Jameson is proud to run a single distillery, which means they have full control over the production process, from grain to glass. This means they’re able to produce a wide variety of different whiskeys, without having to knock on any other distillery doors.
