What is Tequila?

Tequila is a distilled alcohol made from the blue agave plant. It is primarily made in the area surrounding the city of, you guessed it, Tequila, Mexico. Mexican law states that tequila can only be produced in the state of Jalisco and limited areas in the states of Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit, and Tamaulipas. 

How is Tequila Harvested?

The harvesting of the agave plant has never been changed. The planting, tending, and harvesting of the plant is done manually. There are no machines or modern technology involved.

How do you serve tequila?

The most traditional way to drink tequila is neat, without the lime and salt. Outside of Mexico, tequila is served with salt and a slice of lemon.
