What is Talisker and what makes it great?

Talisker is a single malt whisky that has been "made by the sea" since 1830. After a few false starts, the distillery was founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill. 

The distillery has a rich history and operates five still - two wash stills and three spirit stills. All the stills use condensing coils, rather than a modern condenser, which are believed to give this whiskey a "fuller flavour".
