The fruit for Stonier Pinot Noir is derived from a selection of mature age vineyards scattered across the Mornington Peninsula, with a focus towards the region’s cooler south, near the small town of Merricks, which is where our winery is located.
Tasting Notes
As a young wine there is a nice tautness, bursting with fresh and bright red fruits. The cooler vintage has certainly brought forward the finer and more delicate flavours of Pinot Noir, though there is still ample tannin support with a typical regional savoury edge. A Pinot Noir that will give a little more each time you open it over the next 2-3 years.
