This is a light to medium-boddied wine with a supple yet generously flavoured palate. On the palate there is vibrant red fruit flavours with hints of tart raspberry and lithe tannins. The finish is long, graceful and wonderfully persistent.
The Jaraman range gets its name from an aboriginal word that means seahorses . When Bill Taylor first established the family vineyards in the Clare Valley back in 1969, he knew it was important to secure a water supply. While excavating for a large dam, they discovered tiny fossilised seahorses in the limestone bedrock. They dated back to ancient times when this part of South Australia had lain beneath the ocean. As a tribute, the family decided to adopt these unique creatures to represent their wines and you ll find those little seahorses on every bottle of Taylors wine.
