Absolut Moscow Mule
Create the perfect Moscow Mule with this step-by-step guide. The Moscow mule is popularly served in a copper mug, which takes on the cold temperature of the liquid.
Prep time: 2 mins
Mix time: 2 mins
Serving size: 1
Ingredients
- Ice Cubes
- 45 ml Absolut Vodka
- 15 ml Lime Juice
- Ginger Beer
- 1 Wedge Lime
How to make
Fill a mule mug with ice cubes. Add Absolut Vodka and lime juice. Top up with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Other info:
- For a somewhat more mature and full-bodied version of the Moscow Mule, add a few dashes of aromatic bitters to the drink.
- Make sure to use plenty of ice in the glass. That will keep your drink colder, crisper and fizzier longer.
- If you can’t find Ginger Beer, muddle some fresh ginger in the base of your mule cup and use Ginger Ale instead. That will give you the spicy kick from the fresh ginger.
Absolut Bloody Mary
Whip up the popular Bloody Mary with this step-by-step guide. If you’re making one for brunch, then don’t make your Bloody Mary too strong!
Prep time: 5 mins
Mix time: 2 mins
Serving size: 1
Ingredients
- 45 ml Absolut Vodka
- 150 ml Tomato Juice
- 4 Dashes of Hot Sauce
- 10 ml Worcestershire Sauce
- 10 ml Lemon Juice
- 1 Pinch Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Pinch of Garlic Salt
- 1 Wedge Lemon
- 1 Stick Celery
How to make
Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Stir and pour into a highball glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge and a celery stick.
Other Info:
- Legend says that the first Bloody Mary was actually made with gin rather than vodka (which we today know as a Red Snapper). Gin was then substituted with vodka and the drink became incredibly popular in the US!
- Substitute the tomato juice with Clamato juice and all of a sudden you have a Bloody Caesar instead (in hand)!
- There are probably as many variations of Bloody Marys as there are bartenders. Your imagination is your only limit when it comes to experimenting!
