Product Details
Distinctive black fruit character, assertive chocolate aromatics, spice and volume, a hallmark of Bin 28. Despite its depth and layers, it carries itself with typical Bin 28 ease; its complexity is apparent yet approachable.
Tasting Notes
Very generous and lifted aromatics. Sweet and savoury notes compete for attention. Interestingly, the savoury characters narrowly win the arm wrestle. Full-bodied, rich and generous. Lovely mocha, chocolate, espresso flavours. The confectioner provides black jellybean, licorice, chocolate truffles and rum and raisin. Very generous fruits fill an ample, plush mid-palate.

This year marks 180 years of innovative winemaking at Penfolds.
From the very first vines planted by Dr Christopher and Mary Penfold in 1844 to today, we have been grounded in experimentation, curiosity, and uncompromising quality. It is this pioneering spirit that has helped us become one of the most celebrated winemakers in the world today.
Our current Penfolds winemaking team has more than 150 years between them as Penfolds winemakers.
Each are a custodian of a rich winemaking tradition that goes back over 180 years. They are constantly refining and improving their work, whilst honouring the winemaking techniques of their predecessors.
