Reserva de la Familia was unveiled in 1995 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the oldest tequila house in the world. Our Reserva de la Familia Platino is uniquely crafted using a process known as esencia de agave, or agave essence. This revolutionary proprietary technique was created by Jose Cuervo and is known only by our Maestro Tequileros.
At about twelve years old, the estate’s finest organic agaves are harvested and trimmed, leaving only the most flavourful hearts. These are then slow cooked to extract its natural sweetness and bring its full character to life for an extraordinarily elegant spirit.

Tasting Notes
Colour - Bright, crystal clear.
Nose - Clean and fresh, with intense agave sweet and floral notes that give way to tones of clove, aniseed, light touches of vanilla and caramel as well as earthy and herbal notes of straw and dried herbs. There is also a hint of smoke in the background.
Taste - A sweet and creamy tequila for the palate. Blue agave with hints of clove, white pepper, citrus along with light spices like cinnamon, nutmeg.
Finish - The finish is long, smooth, mellow and creamy, with lingering white pepper and sweet notes and a hint of wet stone minerality.
